What to Wear
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. You will be practicing skills that require working on your hands and knees, bending, standing, and lifting. The instructor may be able to adjust the equipment if you have back, knee, or hip problems. Also please tell your instructor if you are allergic to latex.

How To Prepare
The BLS for Healthcare Providers Course is designed to train you in the lifesaving skills of both CPR and relief of choking. Because the BLS for Healthcare Providers Course covers a lot of material in a relatively short time, advance preparation is required.

Time: From 17:30 to 20:00
Place: Berkshire Hills Regional School maintenance building at 313 Monument Valley Road, Gt Barrington, MA 01230
County: Berkshire

We will be returning to the primary emergency pet co-shelter facility in Great Barrington - this time also touring the two floors of the farm house which will be used for staff sleeping quarters, cat kennels and a whelping room.

This extremely important meeting will give the team another opportunity to discuss floor plans, clarify the entire layout of our co-shelter, and brainstorm solutions to potential challenges we may face in an emergency situation.

After our time at the facility, we will adjourn to Berkshire South to discussing the shelter. ALL BMRC/DART members are encouraged to attend this meeting, because each one of you is important to our team and your insight and suggestions will be invaluable to helping animals in a disaster.

An emergency is not the time to make hurried decisions. This is our opportunity to get organized beforehand and be prepared to go into action should we be needed.

Event Type: Meeting
Who should attend: Volunteers who have completed basic training, Volunteers who have completed intermediate training, Volunteers who have completed advanced training
This event is not open to the public.
Registration is required. Register here.
